Another one is,
HONKA(ancient poem everyone know): 天の原 ふりさけ見れば 春日なる 三笠の山に 出でし月かも(famous TANKA by ABENO NAKAMARO)
Literal Translation: in the sky, looking around, there are KASUGA(mountain or shrine), on the MIKASA mountain, Oh, the moon appears.
MIKASA mountain is an another name of KASUGA mountain in the old capital NARA.
HONKADORI(my work): 向学の 月と春日が 渡す海(こうがくの つきとかすがが わたすうみ)
Literal Translation: aspiring to learn, moon and KASUGA(~spring sun) shrine, force to cross the sea.
1) Free Translation: My wish of aspiring to learn and the national envoy(~KENTOUSHI) make me to cross the sea.
Before traveling, KENTOUSHI prayed around KASUGA mountain.
2) Structure: 5-7-5
3) Human Being or Human Society: Human being, the author
4) Nature or Season: The moon is KIGO of autumn, and KENTOUSHI begun to travel in June or July usually.(arrived in winter)
5) Motivation of making HAIKU: 山川異域 風月同天(Though the mountains and the rivers are different places, the wind and the moon are same as now, in the heaven.)
6) Technics: HONKADORI. 蛍雪, the light of fireflies and the snow reflection of moon light through the window is the symbol of earnest studies. The pair of moon and sun.
