HAIKU easy

Next poet is KOBAYASHI ISSA(1763-1828), he makes many many HAIKU. He established an unique style, so his ones are called ISSA-CHOU. One of them is,

我と来て 遊べや親の ない雀(われときて あそべやおやの ないすずめ)

Literal Translation: Let's with me, play who has parent, sparrow with no (parent)

1) Free Translation: Let's play with me, sparrow who has no parent.

2) Structure: 5-7-5

3) Human Being or Human Society: Human society, ISSA has a father and mother-like (merciful) mind.

4) Nature or Season: Sparrow is KIGO of spring, but I think this poem is KIGO-less, namely MUKI (= no KIGO). Because he sings the truth of the world, beyond seasons.

The spawning of sparrow is in February ~ September, also sparrow is the metaphor of human children.

5) Motivation of making HAIKU: Sympathy. He was born also poor. He watches on lower lebel humans with merciful eyes, so this is ISSA-CHOU.

6) Technics: metaphor

In spite of his technique level, there are many peoples who like ISSA in Japan.
